Ingredients to make sweet potato wedges and a honey sriracha sauce on a marble counter.
  • sweet potatoes: sweet potatoes are the main ingredients here, and are a great source of vitamin A, vitamin C, and potassium, and fiber. Plus, they have a fantastic slightly sweet taste that pair well with contrasting savory and spicy flavors.
  • Italian seasoning: to add flavor to the sweet potato wedges. I use my own recipe which includes basil, parsley, oregano, garlic, onion, rosemary, and crushed red pepper.
  • Sriracha honey sauce: I use my sriracha honey recipe for this which is made with butter, honey, sriracha, lime juice, and sesame oil. This add a sweet and spicy flavor boost.
  • feta cheese: Salty, tangy feta cheese provides a great contrast to the sweet potatoes and helps balance the flavors.
  • fresh oregano leaves: Fresh oregano leaves top off the dish for an herby earthy finish.

Substitutions

  • Italian seasoning: use your favorite spice mix instead. Try my Everyday Seasoning.
  • sriracha honey sauce: you could try making a simple hot honey like I do for my Fig + Goat Cheese Pizza by mixing 1 tablespoon of honey with 1 teaspoon of Sambal Oelek or Sriracha Hot Sauce. Try Sweet Chili Sauce.
  • feta cheese: try goat cheese with is also tangy and creamy, or a Mexican Queso Fresco.
  • fresh oregano: Try another fresh herb like basil, cilantro, or parsley. Try sliced green onions or simply omit the garnish.

Tips for making sweet potato wedges in an air fryer

  • space: leave space in between the sweet potato wedges when you put them in your air fryer basket. Placing them too close together doesn’t allow the hot air to circulate properly and then your wedges can steam and have a soft texture instead of a crispy outer texture.
  • same size: it doesn’t matter if your sweet potatoes aren’t the same size but try to cut the wedges the same size so they cook evenly.
  • seasoning: use your favorite seasoning and favorite dip with this easy method for cooking sweet potatoes.
  • flip: make sure to flip the wedges halfway (after about 10 minutes) so that the can brown evenly.

What to serve with Sweet Potato Wedges

Go for the old classic combo of burgers and fries and serve these crispy sweet potato wedges with a Black Bean Veggie Burger, Butternut Squash Burger, Greek Turkey Burger, or a Crispy Chicken Burger.

For a more veggie-themed meal, serve them with a side Corn Salad, some roasted Broccoli + Carrots, or my Fried Oyster Mushrooms.

Storage

Store leftover wedges by themselves, not garnished. Keep them in the fridge for 4-5 days and reheat in the air fryer for 5-8 minutes at 350°F.

Notes

Try your favorite seasoning mixes and dips to go with these easy air fryer sweet potato wedges.
I use a Cuisinart Convection Toaster Oven Air Fryer. I think it may cook faster than some basket-style air fryers, so check your potatoes often.
