What is labneh?
Labneh is a strained yogurt that is used in Middle Eastern cuisine. It has the smooth texture of cream cheese and the tanginess of plain Greek yogurt.
What is crostini?
Crostini are small slices of toasted or grilled bread, usually made from a baguette, that are topped with various ingredients like spreads, cheeses, fruits, or savory toppings.
Ingredients
You only need a few ingredients for this recipe, and you can switch up the type of bread or berries you use. See the recipe card for exact amounts.
- bread: you'll need a baguette for this. You can make as much or as little as you want so you may or may not need to use the entire baguette. You can also make this with larger slices of bread instead.
- labneh: this middle eastern super strained yogurt is thick, creamy, and tangy.
- raspberries: I love fresh raspberries, you can also try strawberries, blackberries, or blueberries.
- mint: mint adds a delicious fresh herbiness. You can try basil instead.
- walnuts: adds a nutty crunch. Even better toasted. Try pistachios or pecans instead.
- honey: adds sweetness. I like a floral honey.
How to Make Labneh Crostini
Prep Tips
To make this labneh toast recipe, you'll first make the little toasts or crostini. You can do this in several ways, such as in a skillet, on a grill, in a toaster or toaster oven, or in an oven. I like to use my air fryer because it's fast and makes really crispy toast.
Once your toast is ready, you'll just top it with the labneh, raspberries, mint, honey, and nuts.
- Slice the baguette. I do about ½-inch slices.
- Drizzle the bread with olive oil and then air fry for about 4 minutes.
- Spread the labneh on each piece of toast.
- Add raspberries.
- Drizzle with honey.
- Sprinkle with nuts and fresh mint.
Serve.
Tips for making labneh toast
- Spread the labneh evenly, then gently press the raspberries into it so they don’t roll off.
- A light drizzle of honey enhances the flavors without making it overly sweet. Add honey to suit your taste preferences.
- Customize this recipe by changing up the fruits or trying fresh basil instead of mint. Basil is great with strawberries. You could also try fresh or pan-fried burst cherry tomatoes and balsamic glaze.
FAQs

Yes, try blueberries, blackberries, or strawberries instead of raspberries. Figs would also be nice.
