This Beet Wrap is the perfect balance of easy and tasty. The beetroot flatbread adds a subtle earthy sweetness, making it stand out from your regular wrap.
Avocado brings a creamy texture and healthy fats, while tzatziki sauce adds a refreshing tang with its blend of yogurt, cucumber, and garlic. Spinach provides a leafy green crunch, and the crumbled feta cheese offers a salty contrast.
This beetroot wrap feels gourmet but is simple enough to make at home. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, this recipe is flexible and can be easily customized to suit your tastes. Try a different sauce or swap in other greens.

Substitutions
There are many substitutions you can make for this wrap, using whatever you have on hand in your kitchen. Swap the sauce, greens, or cheese for something unique!
- flatbread: if you're not up to making my beetroot flatbread you can use a tortilla or store-bought pita instead. You could also try my sweet potato pita or no yeast flatbread recipes.
- tzatziki sauce: try hummus or a tahini sauce.
- spinach: arugula or mixed greens can replace spinach.
- feta cheese: try a creamy spreadable goat cheese instead.
Top Tip
Use a thick and creamy tzatziki sauce for this recipe. A thinner one might make the wrap soggy or messy to eat.
Instructions
Prep Tips
- Spread the tzatziki sauce and add the avocado slices. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to season the avocado.
- Add the spinach and feta cheese.
- Fold the wrap by folding each side into the center and overlapping them.
- Lay foil beneath the bottom half of the wrap. Fold the foil up and over the wrap and then fold it over and scrunch it together. This makes the wrap easier to eat and helps prevent sauce from leaking out the bottom while you eat.
Tips for making beetroot wraps
- When rolling the wrap, roll it tightly to keep the ingredients from falling out and to ensure a neat, easy-to-eat wrap. Wrapping the bottom in foil helps prevent sauce or ingredients from falling out the bottom while you eat.
- Use a thick tzatziki sauce, like my recipe to prevent the wrap from becoming soggy.
- Switch it up! Take this idea and use what you have at home. Use a different flatbread, greens, or sauce!
Other filling ideas
If you’re looking for a more substantial meal, add chickpea patties or crispy chicken strips from my crispy chicken wrap.

FAQs
To keep your beet wrap from getting soggy, make sure the spinach is dried before using it, and use a thick tzatziki sauce. You can also place a layer of spinach between the flatbread and wetter ingredients like tzatziki sauce. This is especially helpful if you are packing the wrap to eat later.
