Combine sugar and water in a small pot. Whisk together.
Heat over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, let simmer 3 or 4 minutes or until sugar is dissolved.
Let cool and then store in the fridge
Notes
Substitutions - Try brown sugar instead. Add extracts for different flavors.Storage - Lasts a week or two in the fridge. If mold develops on top, throw it out.
