Melty cheese, butter, and garlic on a fresh sourdough or french loaf. Cut into the loaf of bread only halfway and then stuff it with cheese and bake until the cheese is piping hot and bubbly. Cheesy Pull Apart Garlic Bread is perfect for an appetizer or as a side for a salad and takes only half an hour to make.
Fold two pieces of regular tinfoil together, or use extra-large tinfoil.
In a small bowl, melt the butter and add the garlic and parsley.
Slice into the top of the bread on diagonals on two different angles so that you end up with a diamond checkerboard pattern. (Check the blog post photos) Don't cut all the way to the bottom so that the loaf will stay together on its own. Leave half an inch or so still connected at the bottom of the loaf.
Opening the bread in spots, pour on the garlicky parsley butter.
Stuff in both types of cheese.
Wrap with foil.
Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Peel back the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and browned.
Serve hot.
Notes
*I used an 8 0z, 226 g demi loaf (smaller loaf) with these ingredient amounts. I would probably double this for a regular loaf.**Nutritional information is an estimate and intended for informational purposes only, and not to be used as medical or dietary advice.
