water
boiled

granulated white sugar

jalapeño
sliced

Instructions
Slice the jalapeño. For a less spicy syrup deseed the jalapeño.
Add the jalapeño slices and sugar to a jar. Pour the boiling water over top and stir.
Let sit for 15 minutes. (Let sit less for a less spicy syrup and longer for a spicier syrup)
Remove jalapeños and use the syrup in your favorite cocktail.
Store in the fridge.

Store simple syrup in the fridge for 2-4 weeks. Toss it if it looks or smells off.
