Overnight Oats Ratio

For 4 servings:

I use a ratio of: 1 cup oats 2/3 cup yogurt 1 1/3 cup liquid 2 tablespoons chia seeds

Add sweetener as needed, and add in other ingredients to flavor it like cinnamon or apple pie spice, apples, peanut butter, chocolate, blueberries, etc.

Prep Time: 5 Min

chill Time: 4 hrs - overnight


For apple pie oats I use my ratio and then add 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp homemade apple pie spice, and 2 chopped apples.

Mix the wet ingredients together in a large container.

Step 1

Add chia seeds to help thicken the oats and add fiber and protein.

Step 2

Add spices. I use my homemade apple pie spice mix linked on this page.

Step 3

Whisk everything together to combine.

Step 4

Add oats. I use half rolled oats and half large flake oats because they give more texture.

Step 5

Add the chopped apples. I used envy apples.

Step 6

Mix to combine.

Step 7

Add the lid and refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours. Use 4 small containers instead if you prefer.

Step 8

The next day, stir and serve.
