Prep everything ahead of time to make it easier when you cook. The recipe moves fast once you turn the Instant Pot on.
Use the Saute function. Sear the chicken on both sides. Saute the onions. Remove, add broth and scrape the bottom.
Add trivet and then the chicken, onions and garlic cloves.
Add potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
Add the lid and set to seal. Pressure cook on high for 5 minutes.
Let natural pressure release for 10 minutes.
Quick pressure release. Get ready to serve.
Serve with the sauce from the Instant Pot drizzled overtop. See blog post to make a thicker sauce.
