What is halloumi?

Halloumi is a goat and sheep's milk cheese originating from Cyprus. It has a high melting point, making it perfect for grilling and frying.

Ingredients

Make the sauce by mixing together the yogurt, lemon juice, oregano, dill, salt, and pepper.

Slice the halloumi into 1/4 inch slices.

Toast the burger buns on a grill pan.

Grill the halloumi in a grill pan sprayed with oil for about 2 minutes per side.

Spread the yogurt sauce on the buns.

Add the fresh spinach and the halloumi slices.

Add the cucumber slices.

Add the alfalfa sprouts.

Add the top bun and serve the burger.
