Easy Homemade Guacamole

The best guacamole is homemade and uses simple fresh ingredients. You'll need avocados, tomato, lime, red onion, jalapeno pepper, cilantro and salt, and pepper. You can make it smooth or chunky, depending on how you cut the avocado and add more or less of the ingredients you like or don't.

  • 2 avocados peeled and chopped
  • 1 medium lime juiced
  • 1 roma tomato seeds removed, diced
  • ¼ cup pickled red onion (or raw red onion if you prefer)
  • 1 jalapeno pepper seeds removed and minced
  • handful cilantro chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • Peel* and chop or mash the avocado. Add it to a bowl.
  • Add the chopped tomato, jalapeno, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix everything together and taste. Adjust to your preferences.


You can control the texture by the size of the avocado chunks and whether you mash them or not.
