What's the difference between a Mexican Mule and a Moscow Mule? The difference is the type of alcohol used. A Moscow mule uses vodka and a Mexican mule uses Tequila.
Prep Time: 5 Min
Tequila Reposado (aged) Limes, Juiced Ginger Beer or Ginger Ale Simple Syrup Ice
Ingredients
Add 2 shots of aged tequila plus 1/2 shot of simple syrup (you can omit the simple syrup if using ginger ale). Add the juice of one lime and lots of ice.
Fill with ginger beer or ginger ale and garnish with a twist of lime.
What Tequila is used for this recipe? I use a Tequila Reposado, or aged tequila for this recipe. It's gold in color.
Simple syrup is water and sugar heated and mixed together to dissolve the sugar. It's used in cocktails to avoid the grainy texture of sugar. Mine looks gold due to the Mexican sugar I used.
